Tijdens ons eerste kennismakingsgesprek, wil ik graag weten hoe jij jouw grote dag of speciale gelegenheid ziet en luister ik goed naar jouw wensen en ideeën. Vervolgens leg ik je uit wat de mogelijkheden zijn en laat ik je eventueel een aantal unieke gala- en bruidsjurken passen zodat je ziet welk silhouet en materiaal het best bij je past. Na ons eerste gesprek ga ik aan de slag met datgene wat we besproken hebben.
Bij ons volgend gesprek deel ik mijn visie met jou aan de hand van mijn ontwerpen. Zodoende krijgt je een unieke creatie waarbij jouw wensen en individuele schoonheid in het ontwerp tot uiting komen.
Nadat we het ontwerp en materiaal hebben bepaald, werk ik jouw unieke creatie verder uit met zorg en persoonlijke aandacht. Tijdens de passessies zie je stap-voor-stap jouw perfecte jurk ontstaan, wat mijn klanten als zeer prettig ervaren.

Het juiste silhouet kiezen
Het silhouet van je jurk is de belangrijkste factor in het creëren van de algehele look van je jurk. Het juiste silhouet is afhankelijk van je persoonlijke voorkeur en de eerste indruk die je wilt maken bij jouw entrée op je grote dag.
Baljurk
Een baljurk kenmerkt zich door de smalle taille met een wijd uitlopende rok, wat een sprookjesachtig effect geeft.
Dit silhouet legt het accent op de halslijn en taille en komt prachtig tot uiting bij vrouwen met een smalle taille en bredere heupen.
Door het volume van de wijde rok is deze jurk minder geschikt voor kleine vrouwen.
A-lijn jurk
De A-lijn jurk is getailleerd en vanaf de heup zacht uitlopend.
Dit klassieke silhouet legt het accent op de taille en camoufleert de bredere heup.
Een A-lijn jurk is geschikt voor bijna iedere vrouw, of je nu klein, heel slank of wat voller bent. Dit silhouet laat je figuur altijd mooi uitkomen.
Mermaid / Zeemeermin jurk
De zeemeermin jurk is een nauwsluitend silhouet die vanaf de knie theatraal uitloopt tot op de vloer, eventueel in een sleep.
Deze gedurfde jurk accentueert de taille en heup en wordt het best gedragen door vrouwen met een slank figuur.
Trompet jurk
De trompet silhouet is nauwsluitend en loopt vanaf het bovenbeen geleidelijk uit tot op de vloer.
Dit silhouet is een mix van de A-lijn en de zeemeermin. De A-lijn loopt uit vanaf de heup, de zeemeermin vanaf de knie en de trompet vanaf het bovenbeen waardoor de trompet jurk meer bewegingsvrijheid biedt dan de zeemeermin jurk.
De trompet jurk wordt het meest gedragen door vrouwen met een slank figuur.
Empire jurk
De empire jurk heeft een verhoogde taille, direct onder de boezem. Vanaf de boezem valt de jurk gracieus naar beneden, wat een verlengend silhouet creëert die je langer laat lijken. Een eventuele sleep versterkt dit effect.
Dit silhouet verbergt gebrek aan taille en een dikke buik, bijvoorbeeld door zwangerschap. Het heeft ook een positief effect op kleine boezem.
Column jurk
De column is een nauwsluitend silhouet, die je figuur vanaf de halslijn volgt.
De column jurk is het best geschikt voor slanke vrouwen, zowel klein als groot.
De juiste halslijn kiezen
Naast de keuze van het silhouet is het decolleté ook heel bepalend voor de jurk. De juiste halslijn heeft een belangrijk effect op de algehele look van de jurk. Het dragen van de juiste halslijn kan een vol gezicht slanker maken, smalle schouders breder, grote borsten in balans brengen en je langer doen lijken.
Bateau / Boot hals
De bateau hals legt het accent op de nek en sleutelbeen waardoor het bij de meeste types heel stijlvol oogt.
Deze halslijn is het meest geschikt voor vrouwen met smalle gezicht, lange nek, kleine buste en smalle of schuine schouders. De boot hals maakt je gezicht en schouders optisch breder.
Een zijden bodice met boot hals heeft een sophisticated look, daarentegen geeft een kanten bodice een romantische uitstraling.
Waterval hals
De waterval halslijn is een prachtige eyecatcher, ideaal voor een eigentijdse jurk. Deze vrouwelijke halslijn benadrukt het sleutelbeen en halskuiltje en is voor vrijwel alle figuren geschikt, afhankelijk van de stofsoort en het aantal plooien.
De waterval plooien creëren meer volume waardoor deze halslijn zeer geschikt is voor vrouwen met kleine cupmaten.
Bij grotere boezem of brede schouders is het beter een dieper vallende waterval te kiezen, omdat teveel stof dicht bij je hals ongewenst volume toevoegt.
V-hals
De V-hals is een tijdlose halslijn die zowel voor grotere als kleinere cupmaten geschikt. De V-hals verlengt je silhouet en laat de vrouwelijke vormen mooi uitkomen. Een dieper uitgesneden V-hals maakt je kortere nek optisch langer en laat je borsten voller lijken. De V-hals vanaf de schouders, een mooie alternatief voor de Off-shoulder, geeft je meer bewegingsvrijheid en staat erg flatteus.
Scoop hals
De scoop halslijn heeft een U-vorm tussen de schouders. Net als bij de V-hals is deze halslijn door de U-grootte te variëren.
De U-hals creëert ruimte en trekt de aandacht naar je gezicht. Deze halslijn is mooi bij vrouwen met kleine cupmaten.
Queen Anne hals
De Queen Anne hals creëert een majestueuse en zeer stijlvolle look met een hoge halslijn in de rug en meestal gecombineerd met een U-hals of V-hals decolleté.
Halter hals
Bij een halter halslijn worden de bandjes samengebonden achter in de nek. Deze bandjes lopen naar elkaar toe en hebben daardoor een versmallend effect op je schouders en creëert meer volume in je decolleté.
De halter halslijn is zeer geschikt voor vrouwen met kleine cupmaten of brede schouders.
One-shoulder
Deze asymmetrische halslijn zet je schouder en sleutelbeen in de spotlight.
Als je een strapless halslijn mooi vindt maar je er niet prettig in voelt, kan een one-schoulder halslijn je wel een veilig gevoel geven.
Off-shoulder
De off-shoulder is een elegante en tegelijk verleidelijke halslijn die je mooie hals en schouders laat schitteren.
Hou er rekening mee dat bij deze decolleté de bewegingsvrijheid van je armen beperkt is.
Gesloten hals
De gesloten hals creëert een formele, elegante en zeer stijlvolle look. In combinatie met een diepe rug decolleté zorgt dit voor een spannend contrast.
De gesloten, hoge halslijn staat goed bij kleinere cupmaten, omdat het accent op de buste wordt gelegd waardoor deze voller lijkt. Deze halslijn is ook mooi bij vrouwen met een lange hals en rechte schouders.
Vierkante hals
Deze halslijn heeft een vierkante of rechthoekige vorm, waarbij de nadruk wordt gelegd op sleutelbeen en decolleté.
Als je smalle schouders hebt, kies je voor een rechthoekige halslijn die wat breder is uitgesneden, omdat de horizontale lijn je schouders breder doen lijken.
De strakke lijnen zorgen ook voor een zeer elegante look. De vierkante hals wordt vaak geassocieerd met Empire silhouet en is ideaal voor de vrouw met een slanke, lange hals en lang decolleté.
Strapless
De strapless is een klassieke halslijn dat zonder steun van bandjes als een tweede huid zit. Deze halslijn creëert meer ruimte tussen je kin en borsten, waardoor het accent op sleutelbeen en nek wordt gelegd. Een strapless halslijn laat de schouders prachtig uitkomen.
Deze decolleté is minder geschikt voor vrouwen die mager of voller van boven zijn omdat het dan de bewegingsvrijheid beperkt.

During our first appointment, I would love to have an idea of how your special day or occasion will look like. Our conversation continues by listening to your ideas and list of everything you like, even if you think it might not contribute to a coherent design. Then I begin to tease out the dominant ideas and create a sketch of my interpretation of what I think your ultimate dress will be.
I have also some unique dresses available that you can try on to see which silhouette and material suit you best. These creations can also add up to your new dress design.
Once we decide on the design, materials and price, I’m entirely dedicated to create your precious dress. During the fitting sessions you can already catch a glimpse on how you will look like on your special day, which is very much appreciated by my customers.

Choosing the right silhouette
The silhouette of your dress is the most important aspect when selecting your dress. The silhouette defines how the overall look will be. It is also important to know what kind of silhouette suits your figure type, so that you can select a dress that will be flattering.
Ball gown
This fairytale silhouette has a fitted bodice and flares out from the waist noticeably with full skirt.
The ball gown is ideal for slender or pear-shaped figures as the full skirt helps to accentuate the waist and camouflage the lower body.
If you have a shorter body, the volume of the ball gown can create an unwanted illusion, since you may not have the height to balance the size of the skirt. Also, for full-breasted figure, the skirt can cause her to look larger.
A-line dress
The A-line silhouette is fitted at bodice and gradually flares out from hip towards the hem with an unbroken line, giving the impression of the shape of a capital letter A.
This silhouette is a true classic and flattering on many body types. The long lines of the A-line dress elongate the figure, so ideal for shorter body. The full skirt of the A-line can slim down a rounded figure or create the illusion of curves on a slim figure.
Mermaid dress
The mermaid silhouette is extremely fitted and contoured against the body from chest to knee, then flares out to the hem.
This is a dramatic and sexy look that shows off the curves of woman’s body. For this reason, you must be confident and comfortable in your skin to wear a mermaid dress.
Trumpet dress
The trumpet silhouette fits closely to the body from chest to mid-thigh, then widens gradually to hem, resembling the trumpet shape.
This silhouette is a hybrid between the A-line and the mermaid silhouette. The A-line begins to flare out from hip, the trumpet from mid-hip, whereas mermaid from knee.
The trumpet dress is best suited for slim tall builds as it adds feminine curves to a straight figure.
Empire dress
The empire silhouette is defined by the raised waistline that sits directly beneath the fitted bust, from which the rest of the dress flows down to the hem. The skirt, starting right under the bust, either follows the same lines as a column skirt, or as an A-line skirt, gradually flaring away from the body.
This high-waisted silhouette helps to lengthen the body’s appearance, so ideal for shorter body. Also, a popular silhouette for woman with smaller bust and mother-to-be.
Column dress
The column silhouette is narrow and flows straight down from neckline to hem.
This silhouette is best worn by slim figures, both short and tall, since it shows all of your curves. The elongating feature helps short body to appear taller.

Choosing the perfect neckline is depending on the statement you want to make. Each neckline will affect the overall look of your dress in a different way.
Bateau / Boat neck
The bateau neck is a long neckline that follows the curve of the collarbones to the very tip of shoulders.
This neckline is an elegant choice for a traditional dress, because it gives extra coverage.
It suits all bust size, for large bust it draws attention to the neck and collarbone, and conversely, for small bust it creates the illusion of a bigger bust.
Cowl neck
The cowl neck features loose-fitting draping in the front.
This neckline creates curves to a small chest by adding volume.
V-neck
This neckline drops down in a V-shape between the shoulders.
The V-neck works well with both large and small breasted women. A low-size V can conceal large breasts in a feminine way by highlighting the natural shape while maintaining coverage. Conversely, small breasted women can wear a high-size V or a wide-set V that draws attention to the chest and creates the illusion of a fuller bust.
Scoop neck
This classic neckline arcs down from shoulders in a U-shape.
The scoop can be as deep or as high as you feel comfortable with, depending on how much skin you want to expose.
Queen Anne neck
The queen Anne neck is a royal neckline that features a higher collar in the back and a scoop or V-neck in the front.
Halter neck
The halter neck has straps that ties around the back of the neck to create deep armholes.
This neckline works very well for woman with fuller bust, long décolleté or thin neck.
One-shoulder
The one-shoulder known as asymmetrical, features just one shoulder strap.
This neckline accentuates the collarbone and works well with both large and small busts. If you don’t feel confident and comfortable in a strapless dress, then the one-shoulder is a good alternative.
Off-shoulder
The off-shoulder is a romantic neckline that sits below the shoulders and showcases the collarbone and shoulders.
High neck
The high neck covers the chest and can either end just below the neck or extend up the neck.
This neckline creates a formal and elegant look, and best worn by woman with long neck or small chest.
Square neck
This neckline creates a square or rectangle shape across the upper chest, mostly seen with straps or sleeves.
The squared neckline is often associated with empire dress and ideal for woman with thin, long neck and long décolleté.
Strapless
The strapless neckline goes across the chest, either straight without curve, with curve slightly up or down or with heart-shape.
This classic look is ideal for medium to well-endowed busts.
